Oh, the island! If the ocean and the scenery doesn't take your breath away than the colors of the sunset will as seen from Qualicum Bay on this photo.
Anyone likes yellow? The canola fields are in their glory early summer and they grace the landscape of Alberta. This picture was taken on the way to St. Mary Reservoir on Hwy. 505.
Nature and animals are unpredictable and that is partly what makes them fascinating. There is one bird perching on a branch while another one is dive bombing it. Catching the two in the position they are in is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
This is an unusual goose with the coloring of the neck. I saw it at Popsom Park outside Lethbridge. The park is a wonderful place for spotting animals like water fowl, coyotes and deer just to name a few.
It is April and the lakes are still frozen in the prairies and the Rockies. As much as we loath the winter and the snow, it sure makes for pretty pictures and the snow brightens everything up.
I have taken this picture by Waterton Lakes just below the old hotel. The East side of the lake was not reached by the fires. It is always exciting to see wild life. It makes nature trips remarkable and unpredictable. You need to train your eyes to spot them and ones you do you can see them easily.
