The Oldman River and the coulees around it are one of the major attractions to nature lovers who come to Lethbridge. With trails weaving in every direction you can cover a lot of grounds.

You can walk the trails a thousand time and see something different every time. Mother nature rearranges the scene in many ways. Humans come along and sometime get destructive and leave their mess behind. Not too happy to see that. But sometime humans leave nicer marks. Inuksuit, (plural for insukshuk) were first made by the Northern people. See more info on Wikipedia.
The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics made them popular by using an inuksuk for their logo. Since then they have been popping up everywhere. The beauty about them is that it is a great way to be creative in nature without being destructive. Thanks to whoever made this one on the Oldman River across Paradise Canyon Golf Resort last spring. The St Marys River is running; the ice and snow are melting. The big Alberta blue sky is smiling and the water is clear. The canyons are colorful and magical as always. There is a sense of mystery around. The river goes deeper and deeper each year; the cliffs reveal a little more of our geographic history.
The High Level Bridge is one of the most photographed landmarks of Lethbridge. You may think that once you have seen it you have seen it all.
Well, not really. Although the bridge does not change; it's surrounding does and that changes the looks of it. Snow, green grasses, golden brown grasses, fog...it all makes for a different picture. Chief Mountain is one of the most prominent peaks of the Rockies in South Alberta. He has a good sense of humour and likes to play. He seems to move on you depending on where you drive. Sometimes he is on your left, sometimes on your right and sometimes he just hides behind the clouds. If you talk to him, he may show his face from behind the veil of clouds.
