 I took this photo while walking on the beach in Ships point, Fanny Bay on Vancouver Island. The color of the water was stunning with deep blue to turquoise and shades in between. This is a place where the eagles hunt and the sea lions swim. The water provides optimal conditions for shellfish and the worlds best oysters are grown here.

 The majestic Beaufort Mountains are an icon in the landscape of Baynes Sound. They make a dramatic splash reflected here in Little Bay in Ships Point on Vancouver Island. The early morning cloud cover with the sun peaking though brings a soft light to parts of the mountains. The water is calm and as smooth as a mirror.
