This is the Oldman River from one of the highest spots in Lethbridge in February. The river has a solid ice cover above the weir and running between the weir and the Whoop-up bridge. The trees are not budding yet but it will not be too long before they do. Spring is in the air. Can you feel it?
This is the Georgia Straight and the mountains surrounding Powell River in British Columbia. I have taken the picture from Kye Bay, below the Comox Airport at sunrise. The rising sun painted the whole scenery orange. It is an exciting time to photograph scenery with the magical effects of the sun. Seeing the mountains and the water this time of the day makes for true beautiful BC moments.
Can somebody please tell me what the mountains are called? I found no reference to them anywhere.
