Mist and Light in the Forrest

This photo is from the West side of Vancouver Island close to Tofino. I had to wait 23 years to take it. Drove there one winter day and it was foggy at the water. Than the sun started to shine and I caught this as the fog was still between the trees and quickly clearing out. It was like being in a fairy tale, magical and mystical.

Let it snow...we are in Lethbridge

I have taken this photo at the Oldman River just before Remembrance Day when it first snowed. Winter is not winter without the white stuff and it looks so beautiful when everything is covered in snow. It is snowing again and Lethbridge looks like a winter wonderland. So let it snow...let it snow...let it snow.

Farm from the air in fall

This photo is a reminder of not so long ago when we were surrounded by the fall colors. The lovely farm is near Calgary and I have taken the picture from an airplane as we were flying close to the ground during landing or takeoff. The tracks in the fields give it some interesting patterns.

Lethbridge Remembers our Veterans

This photo is a collage and I made it to honor and salute our veterans without whom this country would not be what it is now. I was at the Oldman River yesterday on the first day of snow enjoying our winter wonderland when the C-17 Globe Master III. flew over. It made a few rounds and I snapped a few pictures. I combined one of my best shoots of the plane with a good shot of the bridge. Being Remembrance day I had to add a poppy picture.

Fall in Calgary from the air

Flying into Calgary can be quite the experience, especially over the Bow River and the downtown core. The downtown buildings look giant compared to the rest of the buildings and the suburb houses. The river gives the busy hustling city a calming contrast. The fall colors of the trees around the river give this photo a nice foreground.
