Artistic Statement
The world is full of wonders and sometimes I feel a compelling need to capture it and share it with people who may not have the opportunity to be where I am with my camera. The first time I shared the wonders I captured was an unforgettable experience. I was showing images of the beautiful and breathtaking Vancouver Island in Hungary for people who appreciated and enjoyed every image they saw.
Times like this fuels my desire to capture and share more and since that time I am practically attached to my cameras literally and figuratively. Many times I walk with people and when I stop for a picture where I stopped before they say: you have pictures of this already and I say: yes I do but this time it is a different light, a different color, a different season and that changes everything. |
Just like Dr. Wayne Dryer states: “When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change.” This is so true in photography. They say photography is all about light. It definitely is about light and a lot more in my opinion. It is about light, composition, angle, a good subject, how the light meets the subject, what else is in the photo, what should not be in it.
If the subject is a human or animal that adds another element of feelings, reflecting the feeling and for me to bring that feeling and the moment out of the subject or model. Having taken some acting lessons has helped me to bring that to my photo sessions when I work with people. My deep respect for all combined with putting people at ease and capturing the moments adds to the magic that shows up in my photography. |
