This video is about the connection of humans and nature. As much as we need food and water for our basic needs we need to spend time in nature to unwind, to relax and to fill our hearts with the wonder of nature.

Fanny Bay video

This video is on my old YouTube channel. It is about a delightful place I had the opportunity to live at for 3 years. It is a nature lover's paradise.

The first town entering the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia coming from the south on highway 19A is Fanny Bay. This small town with less than a thousand residents is famous for it's shellfish production. The surrounding waters are fed by pristine mountain creeks and are kept clean. Open fields and marshes are a favorite for birds. The local people live in harmony with nature. Being a part of the rainforest the forests are lush and green all year with some deciduous trees displaying an amazing show of colors in the fall. The Beaufort mountains protect Fanny Bay and the surrounding area known as Baynes sound from the west and keep the climate mild. The rugged snow capped peaks preserve the secrets of time, only the eagle knows some of the mysteries. Sea lions occupy log booms and a float. They feed on the herring and rest on the logs in sunshine and rain until the herring spawn late winter.

Stunning winter scenery of the Baranya region in South Hungary and a beautiful musical piece: Sierra South by the talented composer John Sokoloff played by himself. That is what you will find in this video.
Many thanks to John for letting me include his masterpiece.

This video ties the natural beauty of Vancouver together with a Gray Whale spotted near Victoria, British Columbia. They don't show up this close to shore too often. I was fortunate enough to see it and take the video shots you can see here.

You will se some Hungarian words here and that is for my Hungarian audiences who have been following my old YouTube channel.

Coyote on the Oldman River

Sometimes you can see animals in seemingly unusual places. Like the Oldman River close to the city of Lethbridge. This is a video I shoot on December 30th, 2015 in bright sunshine at the Woopup bridge. I could not believe my eyes when I saw a Coyote so close to the city. First it was standing on the ice howling. I was pretty far from it but got some OK shots. I kept saying: please come closer, please come closer. It started running towards me on the other side of the river. I was so excited I could barely pan to follow it with the camera. It was picking up speed as it got close to me and ran pretty fast. Then it disappeared into thin air. Well, maybe into the thick shrubs along the river bank.

We live in an awesome place!

The dog and the sea lions

Animals are so natural. There is no pretence, no judgement. They are playful, graceful and fun to watch. Sometimes the species mix and tolerate each other to our surprise.

Life is full of surprises and I feel so blessed when I can witness them. I was walking the beach as I did many times when I lived on Vancouver Island and I could not believe what I saw. This dog was barking at the sea lions from the shore. It was a friendly bark and I had the feeling he or she would jump in the water and approach them. Well my prediction was right.

You can see it in this video.
